The last seven songs were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Fastbacks: \"Beaujolais' The Beat\", from the great Estrus \"<a href=\"http:\/\/www.themummies.com\/images\/releases\/comps\/esbx3_front.jpg\">Half Rack<\/a>\" compilation\n<li>Nirvana - \"In Bloom\", from Nevermind\n<li>Nirvana - \"Spank Thru\", from the \"<a href=\"http:\/\/www.subpop.com\/scripts\/main\/discography.php?cat=true&amp;display_type=discog_single&amp;title=Sub%20Pop%20200\">Sub Pop 200<\/a>\" compilation\n<li>Led Zeppelin - \"Bron-Yr-Aur\", from Physical Graffiti\n<li>Dickless - \"Saddle Tramp\", from Sub Pop's \"<a href=\"http:\/\/www.subpop.com\/scripts\/main\/discography.php?cat=true&amp;display_type=discog_single&amp;title=The%20Grunge%20Years\">The Grunge Years<\/a>\"\n<li>The Wrens - Thirteen Grand, from The Meadowlands<sup>*<\/sup>\n<li>Sonic Youth - Silver Rocket, from Daydream Nation\n<\/ul>\n<p>It's like being in college again, but without the unappreciated lack of responsibility. <\/p>\n<p>OK, a few songs past that, and it's played another Sonic Youth song from Daydream Nation (the perfect SY album, IMO), another Nirvana song, and a song from my first college band, a grungy little rock combo that played a few Nirvana, Sonic Youth and Mudhoney songs.<\/p>\n<p>I think it's trying to tell me something.<\/p>\n<p>* Sure, The Wrens song is a new one, but it fits right in with its neighbors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome, to 1990!
