Could you imagine any serious news network broadcast the Hannity-Palin interview, which must surely have made even [Fox News chief] Ailes cringe a little at its lugubrious fawning and cult-worship?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I sometimes like to re-cast these kinds of situations as if they were happening in China or Iran or Italy (basically any country with exotic politics that we superior Americans like to mock), and then to imagine the reaction, upon hearing this  news, of the very same American jingoes who watch Fox. \u201cIn Italy [snort!], the politicians of one party all work for a single TV station and they pretend to be journalists while campaigning! [<i>WTF<\/i> face] It allows them to violate the spirit of campaign finance laws! And it doesn't hurt their credibility in the least. The people buy it! [OMG!] We would never stand for such a thing <i>in America<\/i>!
