Sensible people agree: brunch sucks. By the time it happens, I've already been up and I've already eaten all I want, and I just want to get on with my afternoon.

You guys want pancakes, eggs and bacon? I'll make the fucking pancakes, eggs and bacon - just don't make me wait around while everybody gets their shit together enough to wearily debate the number of cars we need to take to go stand in line for 30 minutes at some noisy breakfast place, waiting to eat heavy, greasy food that sends me right back to bed in a carb-crash coma.

NPR has a nice Spoon show available for streaming. The songs in the set are arranged in order of the album they appear on: starts with some a song from Telephono then a couple from A Series Of Sneaks, then a few from Girls Can Tell, then a few from Kill The Moonlight, etc., up to the their latest record (of which they play 8 of the 10 songs). When they get to the encores, they pick a few from their two last records and throw in a somewhat obscure Paul Simon cover.

The sound is great, the songs come across well. Very nice. Makes a nice "best of". (there's a bunch of other good shows on the site, too).

I spent Saturday AM recording it and chopping it up into individual songs for iTunes.

With 99 percent of precincts reporting, Obama had 55 percent of the vote. Clinton was second with 27 percent, followed by Edwards, with 18 percent.

Awesome. Even though the media can't help but remind us that this was all due to the, umm demographics, of the South Carolina primary voters (nudgenudge - all those black people voted for him! - winkwink), it's still awesome.

Still, I always worry when the world gives me hope.
