It would be handy if launching iTunes on Windows also launched an instance of Task Manager, so it will be easy to kill iTunes when it inevitably paralyzes itself.

    This made me curious, and I found you can indeed create a Windows shortcut which will launch two programs via cmd.exe, as long as you can find the short path name for each program, so you don’t have quotes around the paths. The non-quoted paths are key, since start apparently doesn’t like quotes.

    For me, launching iTunes and task manager can be accomplished via a shortcut specifying the following:

    C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start C:\windows\system32\taskmgr.exe && start C:\Progra~1\iTunes\itunes.exe

    Then set the icon of that little bastard to the iTunes icon and put it on your start menu or whatever. I realize you were probably being facetious, but I just had to try it.
