Chirality

Made an appointment to see a hand specialist. The appointment scheduler asked me which hand was giving me trouble, but not what the trouble was.

I assume this means there is a doctor who only does right hands and another who only does left hands.

I note that when I had knee surgery recently I was asked in which knee I was feeling pain many, many times, and the frequency of asking increased as the operation drew nigh. This seems like a good thing.

latest theory is “nerve entrapment” . first thought it was carpal tunnel, but it’s not that nerve. in my case, it’s the nerve that services the inside and top of my right thumb. it’s pinched/trapped/not sliding somewhere and every time i reach to grab something in a certain way i get a big nerve/electric zap up my thumb. and then a bit more of my thumb goes (so far permanently) numb.

Arse. I had something similar about 15 years ago and it caused my ring and little fingers to go numb. Turned out to be a nerve that was trapped in my elbow. Went away on it’s own luckily.

        Screw getting old man.

I went to the doc yesterday and was diagnosed with neuroma on (in? of?) my left foot. Felt like someone had broken my three middle toes in the night.

This is how we go out, boys. Not with a bang, but a thousand cuts.
