I ordered a computer off Dell's website Monday morning, standard shipping. It was on my porch Wednesday when I got home from work. Wow.
I've ordered many Dells in the past, and they used to take weeks. Now I get it in two days. Again, wow.

Man I had a dreadful flight
We got a new Dell to replace the old one a coupla months ago because it was just too good a deal to pass up. It came very quickly. It’s much better than the old one, and the old one was pretty good. We’re happy.
My next door neighbor did the same thing, and it came about a week earlier than they told him. He wasn’t home, so they didn’t leave it. He called up the delivery company and they said they’d drop it off later in the day. As it turned out, very late. My neighb asked how come and the delivery guy said he was riding his mountain bike at lunchtime and crashed, and spent the afternoon at the ER getting stitches. Then he apologized for being late! Dedication!

no kidding. PCs are super-cheap these days, compared to what they were two years ago.
